General Information

If you were not already aware, we're proud to offer a fantastic DDOS protection for all our servers.

We take privacy seriously at Proton Cortex & our aim is to provide the best experience for you and your players. Our system is designed to protect player identity from a server host in most cases. This means that all players that join a server hosted on our network will show up as the server IP address.

How does this Effect Me?

IP banning is essentially not functional. If you IP banned someone, it would ban everyone on the server because they all appear with the same IP address. It should be noted that IP banning has never been a secure way to ban someone. Its extremely easy to change your IP with a VPN or Proxy to bypass an IP ban. Therefore we feel the tradeoff for the security and protection we're able to provide outweighs this.

How Can You get Player IP's?

For now we will provide/remove player IP functionality on a per server basis, but in most cases it is not necessary to see a players' IP address. We make exceptions to this if you need player IP addresses for some type of functionality you can't get without it. You will need to submit a ticket here with the following format:

Input the Name & Email address associated with the server.

Priority should be set: Low

Subject should be: IP Passthrough

Message should be your full Server ID found under the Settings Tab. Example: 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000001
