Unable to connect to world

Why do I get this error?

This error is most common on console Bedrock editions of Minecraft, especially the PS4 version. Adding custom servers is not officially supported on consoles and with the release of 1.17+, in some cases packets are not properly interpreted.

How do I fix this?

In some cases, attempting to connect a couple of times using the DNS method often works, if not continue to the alternate method.

Alternatively you need a Windows or macOS, device to setup a LAN Games Proxy. *iOS & Android support coming soon.

This will make the server appear in the Friends tab shown in the following image.
